Car Alarms: Disabling Toyota Matrix alarm beep, toyota matrix, 12 volt

Every time I close the door of my 2004 Toyota Matrix alarm loudly beeps, same when I lock the doors with remote. It started after the battery had been replaced. How can I disable this beep? I think there is a way to do it using remote.
