My truck was broken into last year, i was checking the alarm for proper functioning. I have sat inside and armed the alarm locking the doors, I then open the door from the inside handle without unlocking the door, should the alarm sound?, I have also let the window down and armed the alarm, then reached inside and opened the door without unlocking the door, should the alarm sound, mine does not sound off. Is this a bad alarm?

Yes. it should go off without the key
unlocking the door.

It's a hit or miss situation with this system
It's a crappy design from Ford, and alot more
trouble then it's worth.

If it's me, I'd get a decent alarm at www.CARALARMSTORE.com and
"enhance" what they gave me.
