QuestionI had aftermarket alarm/remote start system installed in my 96 Dodge Caravan ES that works but there is one problem. Everytime I want to remote start the vehicle, I need to disable the alarm. If I don't, the alarm goes off. When the alarm is disable, them the van starts. How can I remotely start the van without having to disable the alarm? I will appreciate your input. Thanks.
AnswerOn the remote starter should be a "factory alarm disable" wire,
which also may be able to tie into your aftermarket alarm.
The better idea though is to get a unit that does
it all, so it also disarms autmatically
when using a remote starter.
Look in your manual for the remote starter to
see how to approach your issue.
