Car Alarms: Car Alarm wont disengage, lincoln continental, lock switch

I own a 94 Lincoln Continental that I bought used with a Chapman alarm system installed.  I went to start it the other day and I couldn't get the alarm to disengage.  I tried using the remote and using the interior door lock switch.  Neither worked.  I disconnected the battery and when it was reconnected, the siren went off and now it cannot be turned off.  What can I do?
