Car Alarms: alarm, battery cell, battery drain

Question
Is it possible for my car alarm to drain power from my battery even if i don't set it?

Answer
Yes it is possible depending on the alarm, and the
relays that we used, and how they were wired.

But more likely a week battery or a malfunctioning
alternator is the culprit as alarms on the whole,
do not cause a perceptible battery drain on a
fresh battery cell.

Low amperage.
