Car Alarms: car alarm disabiling, copper wires, car alarm

I'm having a problem with my car alarm. My alarm deactivator is broken and I cannot open my car without the alarm going off. I need to disable the alarm and I don't know where to look. I'm trying to look under the hood of my car. Is there anyway of disconnecting it? I can't afford a $300 new remote. Thank you.

If the valet button is broken, you can use the
wires. Use the 2 wires going to the switch, twist together,
then turn on the ignition key, hold the 2 copper wires
to metal and wait approx 6 seconds.

This is override. Then get a new valet and remote when youcan.
