Car Alarms: Crime Guard 350, gauge wire, crime guard
Questionmy first install i have most of it connected i just have one problem the brown wire from my alarm brain only has 9 volts of power when it needs 12 volts i need to know why this is. I have tried to connect the the brown wire to a wire that has 12 volts (parking light) but that messes up the alarm and it doesn't work properly. I've been at this for a week and i need it fixed asap so i can drive my car for deliveries.
AnswerWhat does the BROWN wire do according to the manual?
Most alarms have a brown wire, and it's for a siren (+)
to be attached to the red wire on the siren to power it.
If remote start, the "brown" heavy gauge wire would
be for a second ignition connection.
Which applies?
