I have a 2003 Matrix XR with a sensitive alarm that goes off for no reason.  It's the honking sound that goes off for 60 seconds.  How do I fix its sensitivity? I'd like to try to fix this on my own, if possible.

Not certain of the system, but MOST knock/impact
sensors have a wheel inset into it to turn up or down
(counter clockwise is down).

Locate the sensor under the dash and turn down or
simply unplug it. Should be a little oblong box
wire tied up high under the dash, and would
blink when it detects vibration.
