QuestionFollow up.
Ok, I have a Toyota Celica X reg. had it for 2.5yrs, FTSH.
This last week my car alarm started going off on is own when set.
It’s got a factory fitted alarm/immobilizer, when it goes off the indicators flash and the siren sounds. It takes any where from 5 – 25 minutes before it goes off.
There are no electronic modifications to the car, i.e. stereo new alarm etc
I can deactivate it and lock it manually, then open using the key fob no problems.
There are no other problems with the car electronically.
I was thinking that it might be a sensor problem??
Thanks in advance

AnswerLikely. This is after market by the way.
No sirens on factory systems. ;>)
Best idea here is to have a local technician
evaluate the system, pin point the knock sensor,
and either turn down, or simply unplug it to
determine if it's falsing.
Let me know what they find.
