Car Alarms: valet switch - Pursuit, button spring, type key

Question
What does the on/off position of the Valet switch look like?  Is there a way to determine if the switch is on or off.

Answer
Either a toggle or, a push button, spring loaded located
under the dash.

Key on and flip the toggle in the other direction.
Whichever turns off the alarm is the off position.

With the push button type, key on,
press and hold in valet override button
until the siren makes a sound. That is the
override position.
