Car Alarms: Dodge Ram - Alarm enabled horn, dodge ram, alarm systems

My 2008 Ram has a feature that makes the alarm bleep once when the vehicle is locked remotely. The handbook says that this can be disabled but I have tried several times following the procedure but without success. Any advice?
