Car Alarms: cabrio car alarm, car alarm, alarm systems

my cabrio stopped suddenly in mid driving, then the alarm started sounding when i tried to open the door and the lock wouldn't open?  does this car (02 Cabrio) alarm shut off the fuel when triggered? and would a malfunction prevent you from starting it?  also even with the key in the ignition i could not silence the alarm? or dis arm the vehicle?
