QuestionI just bought a used 2006 Sienna with a car alarm. Actually, after a little sleuthing I have determined that I have a Karr alarm from Southwest Security Systems that was installed by the dealer for the original owner. I get nervous about having a little plastic box of electronics between me and my ability to start my vehicle. Also, I find that I cannot use the key on the passenger door at all without setting off the alarm. That makes no sense. I have no documentation about how it is supposed to work and it seems quirky to me. I don't need or trust it and would like to remove it. How much should a dealer charge to pull it out, and are they competent to handle the job? Alternatively, how hard would it be to remove it myself? Is this a risky process? If I mess with it will the dealer subsequently be unwilling to bail me out if I really foul it up?
AnswerNo sorry, I don't sell or service they're equipment.
