QuestionQUESTION: i just bought a 2005 dodge durango my remote key is broken i went out today to start it and my car alarm lights will not stop flashing i have no clue how to turn them off it has me puzzle plz help
ANSWER: I need to determine whether it's a factory alarm
issue or, if it's an aftermarket system you are
dealing with.
Is it: Headlights flashing, car horn honking
and a worded SECURITY or, ANTI-THEFT" light
in the dash flashing?
(doubtfull since none of the notes show this
car as having a factory alarm system)=FACTORY
Or,
is it: flashing parking lights,
an LED in the dash area, and a siren
going off?= AFTER MARKET
Let me know more on this to better
advise you on a course of action
to take.

QUESTION: ok the lights are flashing and a led light in the dash it is a factory system there is no siren is not going off the keyless entry does not work how do i reset the computer or is there a switch to reset the whole system
AnswerWell, bad news I am afraid. Only the factory remote
and the programmed igntion key is going to help you here.
Blame Dodge on this one. There is no "fix" I can offer
to help out on this one. You will need a visit
to Dodge service to regain another key and remote.
Not all the news I have to report is
welcomed, but it is the best info I can provide.
Don't want you to get your hopes up here.
It's on of those "suck it up & think of England"
moments. :>(
The folks at Dodge have you by the
shorts with the 05' Durango.
