QuestionI have a 2004 Dodge Ram 1500 with a factory alarm that somehow was triggered when trying to get into the truck. Now the truck won't start. I have tried everything I can think of. Not sure what else I can do. The keyless entry doesn't help, and neither does the key. I hve heard that there is a switch to reset the alarm, but not sure where to look. Any insight would be great. I hate to think that I will have to pay to have my truck towed to the dealer just to have them do 5 seconds of work and charge me a hundreds bucks. Thanks.
AnswerPlease be more descriptive if possible.
"GOING OFF?"
I need to determine whether it's a factory alarm
issue or, if it's an aftermarket system you are
dealing with.
Is it: Headlights flashing, car horn honking
and a worded SECURITY" light in the dash flashing?
(doubtfull since none of the notes show this
car as having a factory alarm system)=FACTORY
Or,
is it: flashing parking lights,
an LED in the dash area, and a siren
going off?= AFTER MARKET
Let me know more on this to better
advise you on a course of action
to take.
