My car was broken into this morning and they disconnected my alarm from the battery. Is there any type of alarm that has a power source other than the battery?

Yes, you can get a backup battery to operate
the car alarm up to 48 hours after the car's own
battery was removed. It's an add on to most
alarms, but available at any time to add
to any after market alarm system
