Car Alarms: Car Alarm comes on every time i open door., alarmtek, eclipse gt

I have a 2000 eclipse gt version, i just bought the car used from a private dealer, there is no alarm remote on the key chain at all, i wasnt aware there was an alarm on it, but today i went to open the door, the first time i opened it i reached in the window and unlocked it...that i could see setting off the horn alarm...but now evertime i open the door it comes on, i unhooked the horn but the lights still blink for about 5 mins. Is there anyway to disable this alarm, until i can get someone to look at it?

I need to determine whether it's a factory alarm
issue or, if it's an aftermarket system you are
dealing with.

Is it: Headlights flashing, car horn honking
and a worded SECURITY or, ANTI-THEFT" light
in the dash flashing?
(doubtfull since none of the notes show this
car as having a factory alarm system)=FACTORY

Or,

is it: flashing parking lights,
an LED in the dash area, and a siren
going off?= AFTER MARKET

Let me know more on this to better
advise you on a course of action
to take.
