QuestionI have an after factory car alarm and keyless entry. It has been working fine, then all of a sudden, the car started chirping 4 chirps every 2 minutes. I thought it was the battery in the remote running low, so I replaced the battery. When I put the battery in the remote the indicator light is staying solid and I still get the 5 chirps and the remote would not work. I disconnected the neg cable on the car battery. Now the remote will lock and unlock the car, no more chirps, but the light is staying on on the remote. I know that it is draining the new battery. I also put a new battery in a second remote and the light on it stays solid also. Please advise????
AnswerThe remote seems to be broken, and is
generating a constant signal.
Keep it powered down, and see if the alarm is still
affected. If not, then it's something else.
If it's the remote, get another (try

But that's what it sounds like from your explaination.
I hope this was helpful.
