Car Alarms: 96 tahoe alarm, valet, tahoe

Hello i have a 96 tahoe (4door) and alarm ALWAYs arms itself i really no longer want to use the  alarm ?  how can i shut it off?  and #2 the valet button on bottom of dash looks like someone cut it and put it to a ground of the box, does this go to a ground or a positive source thanks Tom

Hard to say without inspection. I would advise you
here to remove the alarm now, and repair or replace.

I can not be there to inspect it, but the grounded valet
wire seems like a failed attempt to keep it disarmed.

At this point, remove it. You'll be better off
if unsure of the system.
