Car Alarms: Karr Alarm auto unlock?, karr alarm system, odd quirks

I have a 2008 Ford Escape with a Karr alarm system added at time of purchase (huge mistake in my opinion as I have to keep it in valet mode to keep myself from going ballistic with its odd quirks). I am having a problem with the autounlock.  I have disabled the autounlock feature using the steps in the Ford manual and my dash display shows that the autounlock is off yet my doors all unlock when I turn the car off.  Does the Karr system have a separate autounlock system that can be deactivated somehow?  Thanks.
