Car Alarms: 318is alarm, bmw 318is, factory oem

hi, my alarm system on my bmw 318is( 1998)e36, has stoped working. first my remote stoped working, i changed battery etc. but no luck. ive reseted my alarm in the engine bay using the key, no luck.now my alarm just doesnt work. any ideas.thank you

Since I don't know what you actually have there,
I would, 1. identify the system you have at
www.keynfob.com  or  www.keylessride.com
and then contact the manufacturers web site
so you can trouble shoot this issue.

If it's the factory/OEM system, you need to chat
with BMW as to what the fix would be, as it is
integrated throughout this vehicle, and affects the
fuel injectors and electrical system.

Sorry, but BMW's can be finicky, and the best
thing if OEM, is to speak to the service dept
at BMW.
