Car Alarms: after market car alarm too loud, alarmtek, car alarm

My after market car alarm chirps too loudly when it is locked/unlocked.  I know there is a way to adjust the settings so that it is silent and simply locks/unlocks the car without the noise. Anyone know how I might go about doing this?

More then likely, a soft chirp siren would be the
way to go here. Car alarms don't have a volume
control for the siren output, so they make different
sirens to make this happen. They are available
for 20.00
