the answer that we got applied to gm .will it work on the 98 navigator?

No ma'am, the answer you got was for the FORD PATS
(PASSIVE ANTI THEFT SYSTEM) in the Lincon Navigator.

The PLJX module would be for the GM's VATS/PASSLOCK
system which is a completely different animal
then the Ford/Lincoln Mercury system.
