Car Alarms: disable remote, remote start, good answer

I just bought a 1998 silverado with a prestige aps786t with remote start. I would like to disable remote start and just keep the alarm. Guy I bought the truck from had disabled whole alarm cause remote start kept trying to start truck while he was driving. Problem that I am having is I don't have the installation guide can you help?
