Car Alarms: wet remote, replacement transmitters, programming instructions

my remote was washed in the washing machine,  I let dry out but still it will not work , my 94 chevy has and after market alarm system, I'm not sure of the brand and i had only one remote, I tried putting the key switch and flipping the kill switch.nothing happens .can anyone help
