Car Alarms: 1998 diamante, side kick panel, key cylinder

hello i have a 1998 diamante and im trying to disable the factory alarm the headlights keep blinking

In this car, locate the brown/green wire |-|
in the drivers side kick panel.

This is the trunk key cylinder wire and
it is in the harness running to the rear
of the vehicle. Metering by turning the
key in the trunk. You will need to ground this
wire to disarm the Mitsubishi system for good.

Usually however, to disarm, it's key in the drivers door,
turn left, then right to disable/unlock it.
Try that as well.
