Car Alarms: avistart 4400 remote start help, chevy blazer, alarmtek

I installed the avistart 4400 in my 95 Chevy Blazer. All works
well except the remote start. The truck will start and run fine but if i use the remote start i get a check engine light and the trans will not shift correctly while driving. If I do not use the remote start everything work like it should. What did I do wrong? The truck did have key less entry factory.
