Car Alarms: Carbine3000/4000, brain box, open relay

Question
Disabled alarm over 2 mos ago. Went on short errand, got back into car battery drained. What type of electrical problems if any could this alarm still installed cause? Disabled it due to reoccurring starting problems.

Answer
There could be a frozen open relay causing an open circuit
(sounds like a starter kill relay malfunctioning here.)
and it's draing the battery.

Best idea right now is to unplug the brain box, then
recharge or replace the battery, and then see what
happens. If I am right, cut out the starter kill relay,
and then try to re plug and try again.
