Car Alarms: 1996 Honda Civic Alarm, blinking red light, honda dealer

I have a 1996 Honda Civic factory Anti-Theft alarm. The remote will not disable the alarm. I've replaced the batteries on both the main remote and the back up remote. I also tried disarming the alarm by unlocking the door with the key.(as suggested by the Honda Dealer). My model does not have a valet/kill switch on the face of the radio, just the blinking red light. As a result of this problem I can't start my car. How do I disable this alarm?

My apologies. I was completely wrong on that point.
Just a human error. I was assuming that you
were having a siren blare, & a starter kill engaged
sort of thing. That would denote after market.

The radio security is
a New one on me & I will add note to my
database, thank you.
