QuestionI just bought a 96 toyota avalon with keyless entry and alarm. The keyless entry fob doesn't work (has new batteries, I probably need to program it).
My big problem is that sometimes when I try to start the car, i get nothing, the engine won't start, because the alarm is disabling it. But if I wait a bit, and keep trying, the car will turn on and everything is fine. I have read the posts on this site, and found that if i put the key in and turn it to "on", and within five seconds, press and hold the button up by my rear view mirror(valet button?), the car makes three "chirps". But I get the same problem still.
You help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Matt
AnswerYou need to identify what alarm
you have there, then locate the manufacturer
to get the info for the alarm. If the valet set up
I suggested does not work, then you have to
find out the procedure
Please try a site like www.keylessride.com.
www.keynfob.com , or www.remotes4you.com ,
or even the manufacturer for this information.
I do not suppy this sort of information here.
Good luck with it.
