Car Alarms: programming remote for 1992 vette, transmitter programming, remote transmitter

I have a remote for my 1992 Vette and not sure if it is factory or not. It has three buttons. Top left symbol is for the trunk unlock, top right is the * symbol, and the center button shows a lock in the locked and unlock position. How do I program it to the car?
