Car Alarms: 98 MUSTANG FACTORY ALARM DISARM, transponder key, cart before the horse

Question
I LOST MY ONLY TRANSPONDER KEY, AND WOULD LIKE TO KNOW IF I CAN DISARM THE WHOLE SYSTEM SO THAT MY NON-TRANSPONDER KEY WILL START THE CAR.

Answer
No not on this car. You will still need to
get another transponder key made and programmed.
Then if you want to permanantly bypass the system,
get a universal bypass, put the key in it, and then
any key you make at Home Depot will do the trick,
but can't put the cart before the horse here.
