Car Alarms: car alarm does not always disarm, dodge caravan, prestige car

Hi,
I have a 7 years old prestige car alarm on my Dodge caravan(was installed by car dealer when I purchased a car).
It worked fine untill a few weeks ago. Now, if I press a disarm or the other button on the valet - the car just does not respond. I have to press 10-20 times before it finally does respond. Battery change did not help. Also, my second valet(I did not use it for years) does not work any better.
Is there any way I can fix it?

Time to change it out Mike.
I can't inspect it from here, but it seems like
a dying piece of equipment. Spend a couple of
bucks, get a new system with fresh remotes,
and re fit the alarm. You'll get more out
or the whole experience.

I don't think trying to salvage this one
is worth the time to try to patch it.
