Car Alarms: checkmate, dodge car, alarm system

I have a checkmate alarm that was installed in 1998 in my 1998 Dodge car.  For the pass 2 weeks the door keeps locking and unlocking it self while driving and while station in the drive way.   The mechanic can't find any wrong and suggested that I remove the alarm system completely.   Please help.

This sounds like the system ground is bad, I would try making a better system ground.  If you find the brain of the alarm, trace back the wire that goes to a part of the body and remake the connection to ensure it is to a paint and primer free piece of metal to the body, not a factory bolt.
