Car Alarms: Unable to deactivate alarm system, fcc id, shock sensor
QuestionI recently purchased a 2003 srt4 and had an incident where the alarm went off and i tried to use the keyless entry remote model #gq43vt9t to deactivate it. i pressed all buttons on the remote and nothing happened accept for turning on the panic! I asked the guy whom i bought the car from and he didnt even know he had a factory alarm system! The car has had a new blow off valve put on as well as a new intake and turbo timer. can any of these parts be causing this problem? Or what can i do to fix it? thank you.
AnswerHard to say what you have there.
Try identifying it at www.remotesunlimited.com
and use that fcc id.
As far as what's setting it off, could be
a vibration/shock sensor, or a current sensing
alarm, (THE TURBO COULD DEFINATELY SET IT
OFF WITH BOTH SENSORS)
but without id'ing it, I'd just just
be guessing.
Let me know what you discover.
