Car Alarms: toad alarm malfunction, toad alarms, toad alarm

toad alarm already fitted to golf gti when purchased has started making a noise that sounds like a mini compressor (or bullfrog). This does not affect the running of the car, and I'm assuming this is not the noise it should make as it's not wailing ....jus sounds rather like an incessant bullfrog!! Up until now I was unaware that the alarm was connected and used the fob simply for my central locking.  This noise is intermittent and is obviously to do with some loose connection.  Is it a distinct possibility that by disconnecting or cutting coonection i will immobilize the car....think ur goin to say to go to the shop, but jus wondered if u had any ideas

Not certain about Toad alarms as they are not sold here in the States.
