Car Alarms: dei proximity sensor, proximity sensor, inner zone

i have a dei proximity sensor with 2 screws at the bottom right conner i was wondering what each of the 2 screws did, i having trouble getting my sensativity the way i want it and have just been playing with it, but if i new what each screw did it might help. i have my sensor mounted on its side in my center console.

The 2 screws are for outer zone and inner zone triggers.  The outer zone will trigger a warn-away and the inner zone would trigger a full alarm.  Depending on the alarm system itself one adjustment may not do anything.  I checked DEI's site and they do not have a manual listed for the 508D so I am not sure which particular screw does which zone.
