Car Alarms: probally a dumb question, car alarms, power locks

Question
First of I know nothing about car alarms.  Can standard run of the mill car alarms be installed in a car with-out power locks?  and if yes, what does that mean?  Will some features not be in effect because of this?  I appreciate any help, thank you.

Yes, you can install any car alarm in a vehicle that does not have power locks.  You would just not hook up the outputs for door lock control, or you could add actuators to give the car power locks.  There are quite a few websites out there that give some pretty good explanations of how to do this.  Here is a picture of an aftermarket door lock actuator: http://www.amazon.com/HIGH-POWER-DOOR-LOCK-ACTUATOR/dp/B0002KR9PW
