Car Alarms: viper 600HF alarm, installation forum, honda civic

A few years back I bought a 1996 Honda civic that had a Viper 600HF alarm installed.  The clicker is not working and the alarm goes off whenever it wants.  It has caused such a hassle and I would really like to disable the whole thing.  I also have two Honda Civic Remotes (for unlocking doors) and would really like to activate those but doubt that I am able to do that until the alarm is disabled.  Any help would be greatly appreciated!
