QuestionI have a 2001 Chevrolet Camaro and have never had problems with the alarm system. It is a factory alarm system and alarms when the car is locked. I locked the car yesterday and it started going off and everytime I would disarm it, it would go off a minute later. It finally stopped, but now it is going off througout the day. What could be causing this? I have had the car battery checked and the battery is fine? Please let me know if you have a suggestion! Thanks!
AnswerThe system is seeing an open power source and triggering. Could be a light on inside, or the trunk light is left on,
but it's notifying you that there is a trigger point or
open circuit. Please look around the car for any light
source, or item plugged in that will show a drain on the battery.
If this persists, I would have the local Chevy dealer
inspect it for another, maybe computer related, problem.
I hope you can track it down.
