Car Alarms: shaved door entry and alarm 66 mustang, electrical locks, auto shows

On my 66 mustang I was looking at a shaved power door system
IT is manual door locks, One shop said it was not worth it unless the car already had electrical locks. I have seen shaved doors at Auto shows on old mustangs, What is involved
and roughly what should it cost with/out the bodywork and repaint?

This can vary greatly because it is custom work and custom work is charged hourly.  It absolutely can be done, I would tell you to not use that shop anymore if this is something they are not willing to take on.  Look around at a couple other local shops and inquire, a good shop will know exactly what needs to be done.  If you lived in South Jersey I would be able to recommend a shop right away.
