Car Alarms: Remote stopped working after replacing battery, nissan altima, gary herbert

I have a nissan altima 1999.
How do I re program a checkmate remote fcc JT3KT6B.I had to replace my car battery and since then the alarm goes off when I open the doors, the remote does not work.
Thanks for any help.

I am not familiar with that brand system.  Doing a web search I came across a post in another forum.
