Car Alarms: 98 honda accord, alarmtek, honda accord

i would like to install a new stereo in my car but have heared that the remote doorlocks/ interior lights/ alarm system all reside in the factory unit. (this was the case with my 94 civic at least) how do i install a new stereo but keep my alarm, and remote locks??

(this means that once you remove
the factory alarm, a code would be needed
to use it again.)

Since you are removing it, and replacing with your own,
you should not have any issues with simply replacing
with an after market system and still retain the factory
remote locks etc...
