Car Alarms: 1994 Buick Park Ave, buick park ave, key cutters

I have been using the remote entry for the past 3 months since I bought the car.  One night it just stopped working and I couldn't get in the car.  After finally getting and using the "little" key that was supplied for emergency only use, I was able to get in.  However, I can only get in using that key.  I changed the remote batteries but to no avail. The security light flashes sometimes and sometimes it comes on and stays on for a few minutes.  Any ideas why this has happened and what I can do about it?  Also, how can I get a copy of the emergency key.  It does not fit in the regular key cutters machine because it is very small.  thanks, Maggie

You can get a copy of the "little" key made into a full size key at any hardware store.

I would look into why the remote is no longer working.  Have you put a new battery in the remote?  Did the remote get wet?  If for some reason putting a new battery in it does not resolve your problem, maybe installing a new keyless entry system would be an option, or maybe even a remote starter with keyless.
