Car Alarms: 97 honda prelude keyless entry will not lock doors, keyless entry system, honda prelude

I have a after market executive keyless entry system. I can use the remote to engage the alarm and it works but it will not lock the vehicle. When I try to start the vehicle the engine kill works. When I press unlock on the remote it will disengage the alarm and will allow me to start car but will bypass the locks. How can I enable both the locks and the alarm to work at the same time. Thanks

Without inspection, it's hard to say.
I would go in and locate the wiring to see what's what.
But it sounds like either a bad plug/port connection
for the door lock outputs, or it's miswired.

You need to get this to a tech for repair,
or, you can get the wiring chart for the
prelude at the WIREWERX and do it yourself.

Should be a fairly easy fix.
