Car Alarms: 96 camaro rs factory alarm/passcode 2 key, camaro rs, doorlocks

keypad not programmed,alarm arms w/doorlocks. engages 8secs. after u unlock door to enter. turn over ign. to disarm. ign key is passcode 2, I think this might be why car will not start or turn off alarm...help...

I am really unsure where you are having a problem.  I sent you two links that explain how to turn off the factory alarm already.  Just follow the instructions listed in the .pdf (found at http://www.the12volt.com/downloads/file.asp?ID=545 ) and it will permanently disable the alarm.

Turn ignition on then off

remove radio fuse

turn the key to accessory position

press unlock switch on door till you hear just one chirp

turn ignition off

replace radio fuse

It is all there, very simple to do.  Has nothing to do with the passlock system.
