QuestionI have an RS-560 alarm/keyless entry/remote starter by Commando Car Alarms. A part of setting up the remote start, is connecting the tachometer wire to the system, and going through the steps to make it learn the rpm's. Every time I do, it still insists that it has not learned the rpm's. My only guess is that I have it connected to the wrong wire (i.e. not the correct tachometer wire). Could you tell me how to tell the correct wire to connect to? My car is a 1987 Acura Legend 2-door automatic.
Thank you.
AnswerOk, go under the hood, and locate the
Tachometer lead a blue wire @ the ignition coil,
splice into it and solder/ heat shrink it,
then re do the learning profile until the
unit has completed it's programing.
I hope this solves your problem.
If not, call it into: 800 780-1409
and speak to tech support directly.
