Car Alarms: Montero remote, car thieves, brain box

I was searching the web for programming Montero (01) with a aftermarket remote

Don't think you can do that unless you have the Montero
remote already and want to get another. Then you go back to Mitubishi to get it, or an online site that
sells OEM transmitters.

But to simply try to use an aftermarket remote to control
a factory system, you would need to add the brain box
and wiring. There is no aftermarket transmitter that
can be programmed to control an OEM keyless system
to my knowledge. Think about that for a sec.
Car thieves would absolutely LOVE that one.
