Car Alarms: Alarm Info, remote keyless entry, vw beetle

Question
I have a 2001 VW Beetle. It of course has a factory alarm. But as most factory alarms they don't work when you have the glass broken out of it. I was wondering if there is a alarm out there that would work with the OEM alarm or keyless entry. Why I ask? the VW has the key built into the remote keyless entry. I hate to carry two remotes. Thank You for any infomation.

No unfortunately the only one the would work
with it is not one I would suggest for this car.
Your best bet is to get a better overall system,
and give up the factory system etirely.

Sorry but VW does not lend well to adding
add on applications to it's exsisting OEM
system.
