Car Alarms: Alarm 1996 Ford F150, pin switch, ford f150

I have an alarm on my 1996 Ford F150 pickup and i was wondering how to change the alarm from active arm mode(arms itself automatically without locking the doors), to passive mode.

I would need to know the alarm. Some require a pin switch to be switched, some require removal of a jumper, and
some require a procedure of programing steps to
change modes. It all depends on the manufacturers design.
